This needs a retest. Related MUC implementations had a rewrite in 4.7.x releases. This might have voided this issue.

Is this ever going to get fixed? I see that it gets bumped every release and there is no activity. We are experiencing the same issue in a 4 system cluster.

This issue showed up in the following situation:
Windows Clustered pair at 4.1.5 with a shared database on a MySQL server running on CentOS 7
Both nodes up and Synced. Rebooted one node. Came back up appearing fine. Rebooted 2nd node 30 minutes later. Now I'm getting this NPE error and the following behavior: Users are unable to rejoin the rooms they were in when the 2nd node rebooted. Server sees ghost user entries (has 27 users in room, only 20 listed), but its pair does not see those users. Connecting to either server does not resolve the issue.

Is this bug appear at 3.10.3? Is there any schedule to fix it? Seem like it appears frequently.

@jako, Sorry, I am unable to understand why `joinRole` is null
