Description

Combine username and server into a single field. This seems to be where clients are going and would decrease user confusion.

Note that upgrades should automatically convert people over by combining the info in the username and server field.

I'm kind of leaning towards not implementing this. Thing is, the server is something that can be "greyed out" (not editable) by a custom build. To force the server if we have a combined username@server field would be a little hard to manage and probably lead to more user confusion. Thoughts?

yeah, i cant see how it would decrease confusion of users. they dont know what JID is. Username nad Server sounds clear enough to understand.

Agreed – based on not wanting to screw up the Spark Skinning service, I think we should close this as "won't fix". SparkWeb has the new behavior already.
