Two flashing options has been introduced in the SVN version (through the flashing plugin). These options can be found in Preferences > Flashing. Continuous option makes Spark to flash the taskbar window upon the event (message or contact getting online) continuously. The time between flashes was increased since the Beta 2 to make it less annoying. But, i think first flash should be shown quicker. As i usually get a message popup instantly and then it takes a second or more to start flashing.

Temporary option makes Spark to make ~5 quick double flashes and then it doesnt do anything. I think this can be changed to 3 normal flashes as it does in the Continuous option and then taskbar window should stay glowing (not just active) so the user will distinguish it quickly between the other windows.
