Maybe just disablin and not only removing. And as in JM-160 a possibility just to hide account only. This will remove it from the roster until that user login again.

if one use ldap authentication, WF cannot remove the account from the user database but however WF can (need to) remove user who is not in ldap anymore but in the WF groups contact list

We could probably 'lock them out' instead of just removing them. Not sure. Comments?

We also use ldap for openfire. In my opinion it would be a good thing to add a additional menu
to usermanagement, which:

  • displays unused accounts in descending/ascending inactivity time
  • displays accounts which do not have a suitable ldap entry anymore
  • helps to to delete the accounts shown in a efficient way
(i.e. by inactivity time criteria, ...)

Daryl,
It would be great if automatic action could be configurable. I have 4000+ bogus/spammer registrations on my server and it's really difficult to delete them one by one. I could filter most of them out by removing users that did not login for XXX days.
Thanks for your efforts.
